Subtraction With and Without Regrouping

Yesterday we learned a poem to help us remember when to regroup and when it is not necessary. We also learned the correct way to show regrouping with the algorithm. If your child is having trouble remembering what number to write when showing regrouping, I suggest having them draw the problem using base ten blocks. Every time they complete a step in their drawing they should write it in the algorithm.
