Although we have a lot of fun activities planned for this week, we are also wrapping up and testing many units of study. Monday is a spelling test to review all the patterns we have studied this year, Tuesday is a science test, and Wednesday is a writing test.
IMPORTANT LUNCH QUESTION FOR FRIDAY!
On Friday the students will be eating lunch in our classroom after the movie. This means that there will only be one choice from school lunch that day, a sub sandwich sack lunch. Tomorrow I will be taking lunch count for Friday's lunch. Your child will need to know if they are having lunch from school or lunch from home on Friday. Please talk about this with your child tonight and have them prepared to tell me on Tuesday.
WEDNESDAY PAJAMA DAY!!!
We will be having a Polar Express Day to wrap up our Chris VanAllsburg unit. Students may wear their pajamas to school on Wednesday. In the afternoon we will be watching The Polar Express and having a yummy snack.
GLOW PARTY THURSDAY
The school earned a glow party during our fundraiser! On Thursday afternoon we will be to go down to the gym and have a blast dancing!
MOVIE DAY FRIDAY
Friday is the big day! All students will be boarding a bus around 9:00 and heading to Michigan Theater in South Haven to watch The Good Dinosaur. Many kids have asked if their parents can go or if they can bring money to spend. The PTA has already filled all our chaperone spots, so no additional adults are needed. The PTA has also been gracious enough to pay for the ticket, a popcorn, and a lemonade for each student. No money is needed for this field trip and no money will be allowed to be brought to the theater. Thank you for understanding.
SPELLING AND HOMEWORK THIS WEEK
There will be NO homework or spelling coming home this week. Homework and spelling will resume the week we come back from Christmas Vacation. Happy holidays!
