Class Update

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving!

First a note from Mrs. Scholten who coordinates the Giving Tree (outside the office):

With today being giving Tuesday, I wanted to thank everyone who has supported the Christian Neighbors Christmas Project and the Giving Tree, by giving gifts to the tree.
For those of you that do not know, these gifts will be brought back to CN next week, so that parents can actually "shop" for their children before Christmas.  I like this idea because parents know their children best, and can truly choose something they know their child would like for Christmas vs. a random gift.

As  a reminder, please note that all gifts are due to the Giving Tree on/before next week Monday, Dec. 3rd.

*The remainder of December will be a non-perishable food and essentials drive.
So if you didn't get a chance to give, there is still time.

Thanks again for your generous support.

The book orders are due December 5th.  That way if you want gifts for the holiday they will arrive in time. If you are buying a book as a present, just send me an email to notify you when it comes in if it is a surprise.

The holiday concert is at the HIGH SCHOOL, next Thursday, December 6th at 6:30 p.m. Kids will report at 6:10 p.m. to their teacher in the cafeteria (TK-2nd) and in the foyer (3rd-5th). Please drop off your student and find a seat in the gym. Afterward wait in the gym until ALL students have exited. Meet us back in the cafeteria.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make eye contact with me while checking your student out to head home. THANKS!   * FYI: We will also be going to the H.S. for rehearsal that afternoon.

Also, many students choose to dress up for the event. I would suggest dressing your child in something not so bulky. The students all sit close together and it can get hot for them.

Our class will be participating in holiday workshop December 11th. That way they have a gift from the heart to present to you!

For those of you that like to plan ahead... Second grade will be having Polar Express Day, December 20th. December 21st is ALL SCHOOL movie day. So your second grader gets to wear warm PJ's to school the last 2 days before break. Please make sure to continue to send outerwear, they will still have RECESS!   WOOHOO!

Holiday break will start December 22-Jan 2.       School resumes Jan 3.

The busy SEASON has begun! Happy Holidays!
