Updates for the Week of May 8-12

Homework:  A homework packet was sent home today.  It is due Monday, May 15.  A final set of homework will be sent for May 15-May 22.

Spelling:  A new set of spelling words was also sent home today.  Tests will be May 17-19.   There will be one final set of spelling words that will be worked on between May 22-June 2.

Library:  Our final library check out was Monday.  All books are due back to school Thursday, May 18.  This will give us time to locate missing books before the library closes for the year.

Field Day:  Volunteers are needed to run stations from 12-3 on Wednesday, May 24.  Please contact me if you are willing to help with this fun afternoon.

Field Trips:  We have Saugatuck field trips planned on June 2(Dune Ride) and June 8 (Star of Saugatuck and scavenger hunt).  There is no cost for students for these trips.  The costs have been covered by the DES PTA and donations. There will be a lottery for chaperones for the Dune Rides and the Star of Saugatuck Boat Ride.  All parents are invited join us for lunch and the scavenger hunt.  Please read the information and permission slips that were sent home today.
