Thank you to everyone who came to conferences! It was wonderful to be able to celebrate your children and their accomplishments!
The year seems to be flying by and Thanksgiving break is rapidly approaching. Don't forget that we have a half day of school on Wednesday, November 23rd. School will dismiss about 11:30. There is no school on Thursday or Friday, November 24-25th. Due to the shortened week, there will be no homework next week.
The spelling test will be on Wednesday, November 30th. The students will be given a paper with sentences written on it. They will need to identify the 2 words that make a contraction and write the contraction correctly.
Example:
I could not attend the concert because I was sick. ________________
The students need to write "couldn't" on the line.
