Science Lab

Yesterday in class we talked about erosion. We took a trip out to the playground to find examples of erosion and discuss possible causes. Today we went down to the science lab to find out what happens when water is dropped on a mountain of sand. I was extremely impressed with the scientific observations the students were making! 

As you are out and about look for examples of erosion around your yard or around town. Make it a game with your child to see who can find more examples. Discuss what might have caused the erosion. If you see a particularly good example snap a picture of it and send it my way so we can share it with the class.
